About Us

‘Live in the Dales’ has been set up by Ian Schofield of Dales Automation to bring superb live music to the Yorkshire Dales.

Apprentice trained in 1979 Ian has worked in the domestic, commercial and industrial areas of the electrical industry including food, automotive, automation, PLC, robotics, traffic control, inspection, test and event sectors.

After working in the event sector for a few years, lighting events and bands around Yorkshire, Ian now spends ‘The Darkside’ working with bands on their events at weddings, party’s and corporate functions .

On the day side we install garden lighting swimming pool electricals, Home automation and interesting electrical projects!

Operating from near Bedale, North Yorkshire, covering northern England and further afield on request, Dales Automation offers a full range of solutions for event lighting and sound renforcement.
